These are the best shops in Toronto to find David Crighton Art!

University of Toronto Bookstore

The U of T Bookstore is huge and it’s not just for students! It has an absolutely stunning upstairs area known as the “Great Hall” with huge ornate ceilings and large windows that fill the space with natural light. It used to be a library, you know. Here, you’ll find not only books (not just textbooks!), stationary, snacks and drinks, U of T apparel and U of T centric David Crighton items.

Artsmarket Leslieville

Artsmarket is the place to go for handmade items created by local artists. There are three locations: Leslieville, Queen St and College St., which are each filled with booths from local vendors selling anything from jewellery to pottery to photography. It was even voted Now Magazine’s Best Unique Gift Store award. We are located at their Leslieville location and it’s here that you’ll find our largest array of stock including greeting cards, posters, fridge magnets, puzzles and coffee mugs. In addition, you can special order an item to be picked up here.

Global Gifts

Global Gifts is a local store that’s been around for over a decade! Step inside and you’ll have a glimpse of unique and artistic gifts from around the world. They are also very focused on meditation and well-being. Here, you’ll find our cards and calendars.

Anything Goes Accessories

Anything Goes Accessories is a small boutique located in St. Lawrence Market. Locals of Toronto and visitors from around the world love the hand-made jewellery designs, which are either made by the owner herself or are imported from around the world. Many of the designs are created from semi-precious stones or coloured glass beads. This store carries our cards and calendars and owner, Nesrin Akdemir has a great sense of style when buying for her store. Check it out!

Art Gallery of Ontario

You could hang out here for hours. With a collection of up to 95,000 works, including the world’s largest collection of Canadian artists, ranging from the Group of Seven to emerging Indigenous Canadian artists, the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) is an art lovers dream. They also make a special effort to showcase diverse and underrepresented artists, including women. Founded in 1900, the museum has display galleries, an extensive library, student spaces, gallery workshop space, artist-in-residence space, a restaurant, cafe, espresso bar, research centre, theatre and lecture hall. In 2008, a major expansion by Frank Gehry makes the museum a highly-photographed architectural landmark. No wonder it is the second most visited museum in Toronto. Blue Banana

They honestly have something for everyone: from hot sauce to home decor to funny socks and jewellery. It’s fun even just to wander around! They are also very committed to showing products that reflect Toronto and Ontario brands and artisans, including our note cards.

Flatiron Christmas Market

This store, which has been in business for over 32 years, is packed full of high quality, everything Christmas. You’ll find our cards, calendars, glass framed wall art and pillows here.

Annex, The Beaches, and Riverdale Midoco

Owned and operated by a local family, Midoco Art & Office Supplies first opened in 1978 in the Yonge and Lawrence neighbourhood. While that store has since closed, they have since expanded to The Beaches, The Annex and Broadview and Danforth. The store comprises of four departments: art supplies, office products, toy and craft supplies and giftware. You can literally find anything you might need here to be creative. And since they are family owned, they are known for being friendly and helpful. At these three locations, you’ll find our cards and calendars.

Outer Layer Cards and Gifts

Outer Layer is the center of Toronto’s quirky crazy and fun gifts. To prove it, they won NOW Magazine’s Best Unique Gift Shop category. At their brick and mortar store, you’ll find a selection of over 10,000 products such as jewellery, poo sprays, perfumes, hilarious t-shirts, Swell bottles, and of course, note cards, postcards, coffee mugs and fridge magnets. It’s the go-to place for fun and unique gifts!

Page and Panel

Page and Panel is the best destination in Toronto for comics, art and book culture. Located now permanently inside the Toronto Reference Library, it first opened as a pop-up shop but proved to be super popular. They do a lot to support local artists, such as creating original books and merchandise that exclusive to their store. Here, you’ll find our note cards, postcards and calendars.

St. Clair Greetings

St Clair Greetings is a new and spacious local store where you’ll be able to find unique products for anyone of any age for any occasion. This store offers our note cards and pillows particularly geared to the summer traveller.

St. Joseph’s Hospital Gift Shop

The gift shop at St. Joseph’s hospital is located in the Morrow Wing on the 1st Floor of the Health Centre. It is completely staffed by volunteers and all profits are donated to the Foundation to support patient care. You’ll find note cards, postcards, magnets, and Toronto Skyline coffee mugs. Incidentally, the Toronto Artist volunteers at St. Joe’s hamming it up on his guitar for the “in-mates.”

Seagull Classics

This place is known for their custom made furniture but you’ll find a few of our products here. They have really high-quality products and the service is super friendly.

Token Gift Shop

Token Gift Shop is a wonderful local store that specializes in eco-friendly, locally-sourced, well-designed and useful gifts. For example, if you bring in your own clean, empty container, they’ll determine how much it costs to fill it yourself with products like unscented shampoos and/or conditioners. You’ll also find unique items such as walnut-shell scrubber sponges, reusable product bags, travel coffee mugs and David Crighton postcards.
