The U of T Bookstore is huge and it’s not just for students! It has an absolutely stunning upstairs area known as the “Great Hall” with huge ornate ceilings and large windows that fill the space with natural light. It used to be a library, you know. Here, you’ll find not only books (not just textbooks!), stationary, snacks and drinks, U of T apparel and U of T centric David Crighton items.
Artsmarket Leslieville
Artsmarket is the place to go for handmade items created by local artists. There are three locations: Leslieville, Queen St and College St., which are each filled with booths from local vendors selling anything from jewellery to pottery to photography. It was even voted Now Magazine’s Best Unique Gift Store award. Anything Goes Accessories is a small boutique located in St. Lawrence Market. Locals of Toronto and visitors from around the world love the hand-made jewellery designs, which are either made by the owner herself or are imported from around the world. Art Gallery of Ontario

Founded in 1900, the museum has display galleries, an extensive library, student spaces, gallery workshop space, artist-in-residence space, a restaurant, cafe, espresso bar, research centre, theatre and lecture hall. In 2008, a major expansion by Frank Gehry makes the museum a highly-photographed architectural landmark. No wonder it is the second most visited museum in Toronto. This store, which has been in business for over 32 years, is packed full of high quality, everything Christmas. You’ll find our cards, calendars, glass framed wall art and pillows here.
Annex, The Beaches, and Riverdale Midoco
Owned and operated by a local family, Midoco Art & Office Supplies first opened in 1978 in the Yonge and Lawrence neighbourhood. While that store has since closed, they have since expanded to The Beaches, The Annex and Broadview and Danforth. The store comprises of four departments: art supplies, office products, toy and craft supplies and giftware. You can literally find anything you might need here to be creative. St. Joseph’s Hospital Gift Shop
The gift shop at St. Joseph’s hospital is located in the Morrow Wing on the 1st Floor of the Health Centre. It is completely staffed by volunteers and all profits are donated to the Foundation to support patient care. You’ll find note cards, postcards, magnets, and Toronto Skyline coffee mugs. Incidentally, the Toronto Artist volunteers at St. Joe’s hamming it up on his guitar for the “in-mates.”

Token Gift Shop is a wonderful local store that specializes in eco-friendly, locally-sourced, well-designed and useful gifts. For example, if you bring in your own clean, empty container, they’ll determine how much it costs to fill it yourself with products like unscented shampoos and/or conditioners.
